Engineering Manager - IT Services & Consulting | Salary INR 50Lac+

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of software engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions. You will drive technical excellence, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Management:
   • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
   • Set clear goals and objectives for team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
   • Develop strategies to attract, retain, and nurture top engineering talent.
   • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize productivity and efficiency.
   • Collaborate with engineering managers and department heads to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.
2. Technical Leadership:
   • Provide technical guidance and expertise, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
   • Work with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, drive architectural decisions, and identify solutions.
   • Contribute to the product roadmap by understanding the product and its goals.
3. Project Management:
   • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
   • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and mitigate risks.
   • Resolve project issues and team conflicts, and manage project timelines effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, with expertise in Java Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker (preferred).
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a technical management role, leading high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container-based development (Docker, rkt) is a plus.
• Experience with high-scale enterprise applications and cloud-based microservices.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RMQ), Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, K8s, Kafka Streams, etc.
